Who/what influences your teaching and practice currently?
Who:: some of my first teachers Karin Kuhn and Dada Pavan Ananda
what:: as Maui’s lifestyle invites on a daily the ability to adapt to change is my baseline on exploring the body’s. What influences my teaching and personal practice the most currently is that both can be as a beautiful way to reconnect with my true self, to allow myself to be guided by “atman” ( the soul within ) and in that way I can bring forth a more authentic and balanced self experience.
How do you apply yoga practice to your every day life?
I like to meditate, to chant and practice on a daily basis. By living to share yoga and inspire other’s to practice I then chose to be mindful and act with more awareness in all of my choice’s and decisions of daily life (from the food I eat to the thoughts I think, to the actions I take). Yoga helps me to stay in tune with my most authentic self to recognize my abilities to find my power and make better choices for myself. It supports me to create a world of more peace and it inspires me to live at an optimum health to expand my capacities and abilities to adapt, to overcome and grow. To keep living Aloha on a daily and maintain my heart centered I count on yoga to help me with cultivate flexibility of the bod /mind and tap into the stillness of the soul.
What is a fun fact about you?
Besides being an yoga instructor, I’m a lomi lomi therapist, reiki master and cupping facilitator. I also teach barre and surfing lessons on my free time. I’m currently enrolled to have my personal training certification.
I’m a Gaúcha (the (cowboy) woman of the South American pampas) from southern of Brazil and I hold my blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2017. I love surfing, gardening and having fun enjoying the island life with my family!
What can students expect from your class?
Restorative yoga to help students find a balance between strength and flexibility, releasing tension and reducing stress. This class will stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation. Classes will take on a slower pace, some pauses and holds are taken to help calm the mind, harmonize the body and focus the attention on the breath, as we graciously flow.
All levels are welcome.
