Embodied Spring: A Yoga Immersive

Isla Boca Brava, Panama

March 24 - 29, 2027

≈ The Invitation ≈

Embodied Spring is a retreat from life’s responsibilities and a return to what is essential.

Held on a secluded jungle island on the Pacific coast of Panama, this immersive experience unfolds within a sacred container; where days are shaped by practice, nature sets the rhythm, and time softens its grip. Here, yoga is not an activity. It is how we live the day.

We rise early for morning practice, gathering in the quiet hours for breath, mantra, and meditation. Movement follows: strong, intelligent vinyāsa that awakens vitality and steadiness from the inside out.

Where practice becomes the rhythm.

Afternoons offer space for study and refinement. Through mentorship and  āsana exploration, practice deepens, clarity emerges, and the body becomes a site of listening rather than effort.

As evening descends, the pace slows. Restorative, yin, and yoga nidra guide the system toward integration and rest, allowing the work of the day to settle beneath conscious effort.

Surrounded by wild beauty and intentional simplicity, Isla Boca Brava supports a quieter kind of luxury—one rooted in presence, nourishment, and ease. Nothing is asked of you except to arrive, to practice, and to listen.

Embodied Spring is for those ready to pause, reset, and inhabit their practice fully.

A return to rhythm. A return to self. A beginning that rises gently, from within. I’ll meet you there.

Your Sanctuary: Selva Terra

Selva Terra is a private island retreat where thoughtful design meets untamed nature, offering a rare combination of seclusion, comfort, and presence. Guests are accommodated in beautifully crafted jungle bungalows and ocean‑facing villas, each designed for privacy, gentle luxury, and connection to the surrounding landscape. The open‑air yoga shala is immersed in the jungle, while nourishing meals—fresh, locally sourced, and beautifully prepared—support practice, restoration, and vitality.

Guests consistently describe Selva Terra as a peaceful, private paradise, with attentive, warm service that makes every stay effortless and restorative. The natural surroundings, from howler monkeys in the trees to vibrant marine life offshore, invite deep listening and quiet reflection. Optional activities like kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and sunset cruises enhance the connection to the island’s rhythms without disrupting its sense of calm.

Sustainably designed and largely off-grid, the resort embodies a rare kind of luxury: one rooted in intentional simplicity, environmental mindfulness, and elemental beauty. Here, time slows, the nervous system softens, and practice deepens naturally. Selva Terra is more than a place to stay, it is a container where attention turns inward, presence expands, and the work of retreat can unfold fully.

What to Expect From Practice

Mornings begin with grounding mantra, meditation, and prāṇāyāma, followed by an invigorating power vinyāsa flow led by Tiffany. These classes are strong yet soulfully designed to awaken your energy, deepen your awareness, and inspire presence through intentional movement and breath.

Evenings offer a softer landing with restorative yoga and reflection, inviting integration, rest, and release. Tiffany’s teaching style blends structure with spaciousness, encouraging exploration, depth, and connection both on and off the mat.

Afternoon Āsana Exploration

In the afternoons, we’ll shift gears with āsana labs—a chance to take a closer look at your practice. These sessions are part workshop, part deep-dive, and all about curiosity. You’ll explore alignment, transitions, and subtle refinements in a supportive space where questions are welcome and discovery is encouraged. It’s the perfect time to slow down, play with variations, and reconnect with the “why” behind the movement.

Why Isla Boca Brava, Panama

Isla Boca Brava is a place apart.
An island where jungle and ocean meet, and life moves at a slower, more deliberate pace.

Off Panama’s Pacific coast, the landscape remains largely untouched. Days are shaped by light, tide, and weather rather than schedules. The natural world does what it does best here—it regulates, grounds, and restores.

Panama sits at a point of meeting. Land and sea. North and South. Movement and stillness. There is an inherent sense of transition in this place, making it an ideal setting for practice rooted in change and renewal.

Isla Boca Brava offers simplicity rather than excess. Space rather than stimulation. In its quiet, attention naturally turns inward. Practice deepens. Listening sharpens. Rhythm returns.

This is why we gather here.
To practice within the elements.
To release what we no longer need to carry.

Enter the Container. Let your practice hold you.

This is your season to arrive.

Take me there!

 Things You Need to Know

    • “The Morocco 2024 retreat will forever be imprinted on my soul. I arrived excited about doing yoga everyday and learning to surf. I ended up leaving with new lifelong friends and epic memories. I have a new found love and appreciation for Arabic culture and the local people of Agadir/Taghazout. Hands down would attend future retreats.”

    • “This was my first yoga/ surf retreat I loved everything about it, I could have surfed everyday 😉 I met some really nice people and can’t wait to hang out with them in the near future.”

    • “Incredibly rich cultural experience, breathtaking views and practice ! A very big thank you for this wonderful opportunity! Namaste 🙏”

    • “The Blue Mango Yoga retreat to Morocco was the highlight of my 20 year yoga journey. I was counting on the experience of connection that comes from sharing space on and off the mat with others, in an exotic location. I received that gift—those who shared the experience are now cherished friends. What I wasn’t expecting was that I’d fall in love with the person I am in that setting, and that now in my day to day life I am reminded that I am still the person I discovered in Morocco, with that beautiful confident way, connected to source and to all that is through breath and the actions I choose to take and those I refrain from. Thank you for helping me peel back the layers and reveal myself as I am, away from the roles I play and the projections of others. May my purest self help to guide others to seek their own truth.”

  • Easy airport Door-to-dock arrival

Selva Terra is located on Isla Boca Brava on Panama’s Pacific coast in the Gulf of Chiriqui, just 60 miles south from Costa Rica. The closest airport to the resort is David (DAV). Upon arrival at David Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our driver and personally escorted until you arrive. The travel time is approximately 60 minutes from the airport to the resort.

The journey here is unlike any typical airport transfer, it’s a scenic experience that offers a first glimpse of the days ahead – tranquil, beautiful yet naturally wild. By the time you arrive, you’ll already feel immersed in the spirit of Selva Terra — where the journey is just as memorable as the destination.

    How to get here

    • Step 1. Fly to David Airport (DAV). 2 airlines operate this route daily: Copa Airlines (from PTY airport) and Air Panama (from PAC). Chartering a plane is also an option, contact us for a quote.

    • Step 2. Airport transfer from David Airport to Selva Terra, arranged by the resort. Upon landing in David, you will be greeted by our driver with a sign outside of the arrivals door. Our driver will take you to the nearest marina, where you will embark on a boat journey to the resort. The travel time from David Airport to Selva Terra is approximately 60 mins.

  • EU and US passport holders do not require a visa to enter Panama for tourist purposes. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay. If you hold a passport from outside the European Union or the United States, we strongly recommend that you check with your nearest Embassy.

  • The official currency in Panama is the Panamanian balboa (PAB), but the US dollar (USD) is also widely used and accepted throughout the country. In fact, the USD is used more frequently in day-to-day transactions.

If you're traveling from the United States, you typically do not need to exchange money, as you can use US dollars directly. However, it's a good idea to have some small denominations of cash for minor purchases, as some small vendors may not accept large bills.

  • Although we recommend you to take advantage of your visit to Selva Terra to disconnect from digital life, if you require a reliable internet connection, it will be available in all rooms and common areas.

  • Some things are beyond our control and letting go of expectations is an important part of vacation. Even though the weather is mostly heavenly, it sometimes rains. There’s a chance your flight could be late or even rescheduled, and you may lose precious vacation time. Sometimes the ocean can be rougher than expected or the waves too small to surf. That being said, you’ll more likely have one of the most epic stays of your life.

  • Panama offers a rich blend of tropical climate, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. With a few mindful habits, most travelers move through Panama feeling well, energized, and supported. These guidelines are offered to help you care for your body while adjusting to a warm, coastal environment.

    Water and Hydration

    • Drink bottled, filtered, or purified water, especially outside major cities.

    • Use purified or bottled water for brushing teeth if recommended locally.

    • Avoid ice unless you are confident it is made from purified water.

    • Stay well hydrated, particularly in humid conditions.

    Food Awareness

    • Eat food that is freshly prepared and served hot.

    • Be mindful with raw foods, salads, and unpeeled fruits, especially from street vendors.

    • Choose fruits you can peel yourself, such as bananas, mangoes, or papaya.

    • Eat at a pace that supports digestion, especially in the first few days.

    Hands and Hygiene

    • Wash hands frequently with soap and water.

    • Carry hand sanitizer for moments when washing is not available.

    • Avoid touching your face, mouth, or eyes with unwashed hands.

    Heat, Sun, and Humidity

    • Wear lightweight, breathable clothing suitable for tropical weather.

    • Use sun protection including hats, rash guards, and sunscreen.

    • Take breaks in shade or air-conditioned spaces when possible.

    • Move at a slower pace during peak heat hours to support energy and hydration.

    Insects and Skin Care

    • Use insect repellent, especially during early morning and evening hours.

    • Wear long sleeves or light layers when appropriate.

    • Shower after outdoor activities and check skin for irritation or bites.

    Digestive and Immune Support

    • Bring any digestive or immune supports you normally use, such as probiotics or herbal remedies.

    • Consider beginning probiotics one to two weeks before travel and continuing throughout your stay.

    • If you experience digestive discomfort, simplify food choices and prioritize hydration and rest.

    Rest and Nervous System Care

    • Travel and climate changes can affect sleep and energy levels.

    • Allow time for rest, naps, and gentle movement.

    • Breath awareness, light stretching, and time in nature can support regulation and ease.

    Medical Preparation

    • Bring prescription medications in original containers with copies of prescriptions.

    • Pack a small personal health kit with items you are comfortable using.

    • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for peace of mind and medical support if needed.

    Listening to the Body

Panama invites presence and adaptability. Paying attention to early signs of fatigue, dehydration, or digestive upset and responding with care often prevents larger disruptions. Trust your body’s signals and allow rest to be part of the journey.
