What to Expect From Practice

Mornings begin with grounding mantra, meditation, and prāṇāyāma, followed by an invigorating power vinyāsa flow led by Tiffany. These classes are strong yet soulfully—designed to awaken your energy, deepen your awareness, and inspire presence through intentional movement and breath.

Evenings offer a softer landing with restorative yoga and reflection, inviting integration, rest, and release. Tiffany’s teaching style blends structure with spaciousness, encouraging exploration, depth, and connection both on and off the mat.

Afternoon Āsana Exploration

In the afternoons, we’ll shift gears with āsana labs—a chance to take a closer look at your practice. These sessions are part workshop, part deep-dive, and all about curiosity. You’ll explore alignment, transitions, and subtle refinements in a supportive space where questions are welcome and discovery is encouraged. It’s the perfect time to slow down, play with variations, and reconnect with the “why” behind the movement.

Nourishment That Delights

At Mixto Villas, every meal is an experience—crafted with love, intention, and bold, nourishing flavor. During your retreat, you’ll enjoy three gourmet meals daily, prepared fresh by the in-house culinary team using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that celebrate the vibrant spirit of coastal Mexico.

The menu is vegetarian-forward but also includes fresh fish and chicken, offering a balanced and satisfying approach to nourishment that supports both your practice and your pleasure. Expect colorful tropical fruits, fresh juices, warm handmade tortillas, creative salads, nourishing grain bowls, and flavorful entrees inspired by local tradition—with desserts you’ll dream about.

Each day begins with organic coffee, teas, and light morning tapas, followed by a beautifully prepared communal lunch and a chef-curated dinner under the stars. Meals are served with care and intention—designed to fuel your body, satisfy your senses, and bring people together.

 Things You Need to Know

    • “The Morocco 2024 retreat will forever be imprinted on my soul. I arrived excited about doing yoga everyday and learning to surf. I ended up leaving with new lifelong friends and epic memories. I have a new found love and appreciation for Arabic culture and the local people of Agadir/Taghazout. Hands down would attend future retreats.”

    • “This was my first yoga/ surf retreat I loved everything about it, I could have surfed everyday 😉 I met some really nice people and can’t wait to hang out with them in the near future.”

    • “Incredibly rich cultural experience, breathtaking views and practice ! A very big thank you for this wonderful opportunity! Namaste 🙏”

    • “The Blue Mango Yoga retreat to Morocco was the highlight of my 20 year yoga journey. I was counting on the experience of connection that comes from sharing space on and off the mat with others, in an exotic location. I received that gift—those who shared the experience are now cherished friends. What I wasn’t expecting was that I’d fall in love with the person I am in that setting, and that now in my day to day life I am reminded that I am still the person I discovered in Morocco, with that beautiful confident way, connected to source and to all that is through breath and the actions I choose to take and those I refrain from. Thank you for helping me peel back the layers and reveal myself as I am, away from the roles I play and the projections of others. May my purest self help to guide others to seek their own truth.”

  • Mixto is accessible only by boat—which is part of what makes it so magical. To ensure a smooth journey, we’ll help coordinate your boat transportation in advance.

Please schedule your flights to arrive in Puerto Vallarta on December 13 before 4:00 PM and depart on December 20 after 12:00 PM to avoid nighttime boat travel, which is not recommended.

Because everything—from building supplies to fresh produce—arrives by small boat, you may notice a few charming quirks around the villa. It’s all part of Mixto’s remote, off-the-grid beauty.

If you’d like to explore Puerto Vallarta for the day, you can charter the Xinalani boat to Los Muertos Pier downtown. We’ll happily arrange your pick-up for the return trip once you’ve soaked in the city. For a day trip to Puerto Vallarta, you can charter the Xinalani boat to the Los Muertos pier downtown, we will arrange a pick-up when you’re done exploring.

For your stay at Mixto, all incidentals—like spa services, drinks, or optional activities—will be charged directly to your room and settled at the end of the retreat. Mixto accepts Visa, Discover, and MasterCard, but due to the remote location, the card reader doesn’t always work. Cash is preferred whenever possible.

✘ American Express is not accepted.
All pricing at Mixto is in USD, so exchanging money isn't required for your stay at the villa.

However, if you plan to explore Quimixto Village, Yelapa, or Puerto Vallarta, we recommend having pesos on hand, as some local spots are cash-only and may not accept USD.

We offer vegan and gluten-free options at every meal. All meals are served buffet style.

  • Some things are beyond our control and letting go of expectations is an important part of vacation. Even though the weather is mostly heavenly, it sometimes rains. There’s a chance your flight could be late or even rescheduled, and you may lose precious vacation time. Sometimes the ocean can be rougher than expected or the waves too small to surf. That being said, you’ll more likely have one of the most epic stays of your life.

Come for the yoga, stay for the magic.
